A Fresh Batch of Earrings...

I've been working on Earrings for the last several days, finally have some pictures to show....

Spiritual Impressions...

I was playing around again with textures & making impressions, these are the fruit of my experiments:

"Fisher of Men" - Cross impression on fish-scale textured Sterling Silver,
adjustable to approximately 16"/18"/20". 

"Ichthus" - Ichthus impression on fish-scale textured Sterling Silver,
adjustable to approximately 16"/18"/20". 

Flowers Anyone?

I live in Minnesota... we may have S**w again tomorrow (it's a 4-letter word these days)... so I won't be seeing blooms in my gardens for a while...

As a cure for the it's-been-too-long-a-winter blues I made these little pieces using my photos from my garden from last year.

"Pink Torenia" - photo set on a copper backing, gel-coating on top, set in Silver,
adjustable to 16"/18"/20".

"Pink Phlox" - photo set on a copper backing, gel-coating on top, set in Silver,
adjustable to 16"/18"/20".

"Pink Gladiolus" - photo set on a copper backing, gel-coating on top, set in Silver,
adjustable to 16"/18"/20".

A Queen gets a Facelift & makes some new friends....

Occasionally this happens, a piece may look pretty in a picture but just doesn't wear well... that's what happened to Queen Abigail... this is how she looked before:

She's had a facelift, trimmed away her "double-chin" - the scrolls on the sides that looked terrible when worn... this is how she looks now:

Not to worry, Abigail's a good citizen & donated her no-longer desirable bits to two new friends...

Meet Lady Blue, a member of the royal court... she got one set of scrolls:
NOTICE: Lady Blue has been discovered to have "issues" & will need to be reworked... that's what happens when I try new things... back to the drawing board!

"Lady Blue" - Sterling Silver with a faceted stone that might be Topaz (gifted to me),
adjustable to approximate lengths of 16"/18"/20".

Meet Comely Cross, she got the other set of scrolls:

Queen Abigail

This piece was named "Queen Abigail" after one of my favorite Bible characters... to read more about my thoughts on her you can follow this link.

stone sits where you'd expect it to if on a simple setting at 16"/18"/20".

Making an Impression...

I've been playing with making impressions in Copper & Silver, among other things, here's what I've come up with lately...

"Spring Buds" - Impression on Copper, otherwise Sterling Silver.

Earrings made to coordinate with necklace "Spring Buds".

"Alight" - Butterfly impression on a small square of textured Sterling Silver.
